CHRONOLOGY

1996           
Installs the “Gunderson-Holt Collaboration” at 50 Broad Street, New York, NY, and “Aren’t We All Beautiful Colors” at 25 Broad Street, New York, NY.  Appears in the fall issue of BOMB Magazine, published by Betsy Sussler, for the presentation of the Gunderson-Holt Collaboration.  Interviewed by Frank Field on Fox Channel 5 for Good day New York about the cloud installation in Wisconsin.  Appears in a group show at the Pratt Institute in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY. 

1997           
Installs the final painting for installation of paintings entitled “Clouds of Witnesses”.  Reviewed in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee, WI CUE “Racine church’s ‘cloud’ paintings keep the mind on matters above,” James Auer, Wednesday, May 7, 1997.  “Shepherd Express, “Clouds of Witness,” Nathan Guequierre, May 1, 1997. Teaches as a visiting artist at MICA for the Hoffberger Graduate Students.  Appears in a group show at the Isis Conceptual Laboratory, Inc. in West Branch, IA. 1998          
Exhibits at Donahue/Sosinki Art, New York, a one person show.  Donald Kuspit writes, “Karen Gunderson, KINGS” for the exhibit catalogue.  Reviewed in The New York Times, “Karen Gunderson”, Grace Glueck, Friday, December 4, 1998. Appears in a group show at the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts, Racine, WI.  Meets Laura Kruger. Teaches at Maryland Institute College of Art as Visiting Artist, for Hoffberger Graduate Students (invited by Grace Hartigan).
